Terms of use
Last updated: November 2026. By creating an account or using SlipKeep you accept these terms and our privacy policy.
1. What SlipKeep is
SlipKeep is an app that helps you keep and organize your business receipts and expenses, and prepare a package for your accountant. AI reads your receipts and suggests a category and a Schedule C line.
2. What SlipKeep doesn't do
SlipKeep is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and it doesn't prepare or file tax returns. Suggested categories and lines are an organizing aid: always review the information with your accountant or tax preparer before using it on a return. You decide which expenses are business expenses.
3. AI can make mistakes
The AI sometimes misreads an amount or a date, or picks the wrong category. The app warns you when it isn't sure, but you're responsible for reviewing your expenses. Keep original receipts when the law requires it.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and use SlipKeep for your self-employed work or your business.
- During the beta, accounts can only be created with an invitation.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
5. Fair use
Don't use SlipKeep for anything illegal, to upload files that aren't yours or that contain malware, or to try to reach other people's data or overload the service. There's a daily scan limit so the service works well for everyone.
6. Founder pricing and beta
- The first 50 invited people from the waitlist are "founders": they use SlipKeep free until February 28, 2027, with no card.
- After that, if they choose to stay, founder pricing is $39 a year and doesn't go up while they keep their subscription.
- We'll never charge you without you asking: during the beta we don't ask for a card, and we'll tell you before any charge.
- If you don't continue, you can download all your receipts.
- The beta is a test version: it can have bugs and change while we improve it.
7. Your data is yours
The receipts and data you upload remain yours. You give us permission only to store and process them (including reading them with AI) to provide the service, as the privacy policy explains. You can download them and delete your account anytime.
8. Our part
SlipKeep, its name, its design and Kipi are ours. Don't copy them or use them as your own.
9. Availability and warranties
We do our best to keep SlipKeep running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it will never fail. We recommend downloading your package from time to time.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, SlipKeep isn't liable for penalties, taxes, interest or losses resulting from errors in your returns or in the information the app organizes, or for indirect damages. If we were ever liable, the most would be what you paid us in the last 12 months.
11. Closing your account
You can delete your account anytime from the app. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms; unless it's abuse, we'll tell you first and you'll be able to download your data.
12. Changes
If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they apply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States.
